We are proud to announce that the ZIKAction Consortium meeting in Florida was a success! This two-day meeting was an exciting opportunity to assess the current state of the art of ZIKAction studies and share the first outcomes of our work.
About 70 scientists from 18 countries came to the Consortium meeting, which was held at the Emerging Pathogens Institute at the University of Florida on November 2-3, 2017.
External contributions come from:
Prof. Mario Monti, Former EU Commissioner and Prime Minister of Italy between 2011-2013, who gave a speech about the EU funded Research in an evolving landscape;
Prof. Ilaria Capua, head the One Health Center of Excellence at the University of Florida, who made a brilliant contribution to our discussion and invited us to celebrate the #OneHealthDay;
Prof. Julie Tucker from the UFL Department of Health Education and Behavior, who offered food for thought on how ZIKAction can nudge in the field of human health.
The event was reported in the Gainesville.com newspaper.
Warm thanks to all participants!
